Good luck to Loreto College Coleraine this week as they compete in the Maclarnon cup 1/4 final against St. Louis Ballymena at Owenbeg 5pm wed. St Canice’s have a good representation and would like to wish players Conor Mckelvey, Stiofan Tracey, Mark Cassidy, Sean Quinn and Odhran McNicholl all the best.
Senior Football
St Canice’s travelled to Coleraine on Sunday in the Ulster league. Our seniors played against a physical and experienced Coleraine side. St Canice’s started with six of our last years minors and they performed really well after a difficult first half. The team came out and scored 1-07 in the second half and finished the strongest of the two teams. Final Score Coleraine 3.11 – 1.08 . We now Play Grangemore of Armagh next Sunday in O’Cahan Park.

Membership:
MembershipClub membership is now due. To try and encourage a larger membership body, especially to include more parents of our Underage members, the membership rates this year have been kept the same as last year. Membership for 2017 is a very reasonable £20 per adult, £30 for an adult couple, £10 for students and OAPs, and £5 for underage (max £10 per Underage family). All players must be members, but we’d encourage anyone else who isn’t a member yet to consider joining. Working together, a larger and more active membership will build a better Club for us all. To make it even more convenient, membership can now be easily purchased on our Club website at http://www.dungivengac.com/membership-online/ – just click the “sign up now” link.

Thanks to everyone who supports us with the Club Lotto. This is our main fundraising effort and is essentially our lifeblood income to help us fund all of our teams running costs, and to also support many of our strategic development projects. Whilst the Lotto remains a strong contributor for us we know that it can and should do better – parts of our town are no longer served by regular collectors, and we’d like to change this. If you think you can help, either as a collector or a coordinator of our Lotto, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Please give your name to any of the Executive Committee.
You can purchase our Lotto online at http://www.dungivengac.com
