Football:
St Canice’s GAC are pleased to announce the backroom team who will assist our new Senior Team Manager, Paul Murphy, for the 2017 season. We are delighted to have three experienced Dungiven past-players to assist Paul in making up a strong senior management team for 2017: Emmet McKeever, Eoighin Farren and Stephen McGuigan. We wish them every success for the year ahead.

As is the tradition in our club at the end of each season, all Underage Manager positions have now become vacant. To try and ensure the best possible planning and preparation for next year’s football we would like those people interested in managing and coaching teams in 2017 to please give their names to the current Youth Officer, Banty McGuigan, by 6pm on Saturday 19th November.

Fundraising:
Club Lotto:
This week’s winning Lotto numbers are 05 – 11 – 19 – 24.
There was no Jackpot winner and five 3-number £20 winners: Mary Squeak, Eunan Kelly, Aimee Steele, B McFadden & Katriona Stockman. Next week the Jackpot rises to £5,300.
As always, thanks to everyone who regularly supports us with the Club Lotto. This is our main fundraising effort and is essentially our lifeblood income to help us fund all of our teams running costs, and to also support many of our strategic development projects. Whilst the Lotto remains a strong contributor for us we know that it can and should do better – parts of our town are no longer served by regular collectors, and we’d like to change this. If you think you can help, either as a collector or a coordinator of our Lotto, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Please give your name to any of the Executive Committee.

2016 End-of-Year Club Dinner Dance
The Club will run an end-of-year dinner dance on Saturday 3rd December in The Roe Park Resort, Limavady. This is intended to be a community-event that is open to all friends of St Canice’s GAC: members, their families & friends, and our fellow-gaels from across our neighbouring hurling, camogie and ladies’ football clubs. This will be a non-profit event aimed at bringing all of our club friends together in the way we did for last year’s Gala Dinner which was a huge success. Tickets (to include 4-course meal, music by the super Bad Penny, and a free bus to/from venue) are priced at £25 each. To reserve your ticket please give a deposit and your name to any committee member or leave in the bar.
