We’re proud to be supporting Kevin Lynch Hurling Club’s Health is Wealth Day in our Main Hall on Saturday the 4th of June.
This is a community event, and there’ll be something of interest and benefit for everyone in the family – we’d encourage everyone to come along where you’ll get the chance to meet and talk with a whole variety of health professionals & organisations who’ll all give solid advice on all aspects of health and wellbeing.
Entry to the event is free but there will be a donation box for Glenshane Care Centre and everyone is urged to give what they can.
As part of the event we are very glad to be offering cardiac screening by “Healthy Hearts Healthy Lives”, an organisation set up to raise awareness and help early detection of conditions that can lead to Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS). They will hold a Cardiac Screening Clinic during the day for those aged 14-35. Whilst this is open to all members of the public, the primary focus is on screening people who engage in sporting activities.
