Yesterday we had the final day of our very successful 2017 Summer Camp, we would like to thank all who made this week possible. We had a great helping hand from a large number of Under 16 and Minor players who volunteered this week and showed great potential as future coaches in years to come.
Our club coaches and senior players as usual made themselves available to coordinate and run coaching sessions throughout the week. We also would like to thank Richard Ferris who we had the privilege of having at the camp all week focusing specifically on skills sessions. For the first time we introduced gaeilge agus ceol to the Summer Camp under the direction of Brian Devlin from Glór Dhún Geimhin, this was extremely well received by everyone involved with the highlight of the week being the kids singing Amhrán na bhFiann fantastically on the last day. Go raibh míle maith agat Brian agus Glór.
We would also like to thank the numerous sponsors who assisted in making this week a success. Our main Summer Camp was RAEMAC Interior Systems, thanks for your continued support. Supervalu Dungiven who contributed towards our Health and Wellbeing initiative by donating water, oranges and bananas to the kids on the final day. This initiative was also supported by Tesco Limavady, who provided bananas to all the children early in the week. Thanks also to Eurospar for providing our coaches with lunches throughout the week.
Thanks to all the young St Canices Gaels who where outstanding all week, all coaches commented on how enjoyable they where to work with. Our future certainly looks good! Finally thanks to those parents who assisted in any way throughout the week, your support is greatly appreciated.
