The 72nd Annual General Meeting of St Canice’s Gac took place on Friday November 5th 2104.
The AGM was attended by over 70 people. The Meeting was chaired by outgoing Chairperson Colm Mc Guigan who welcomed everyone and asked them to join him in prayer for all the deceased members who had passed throughout the year, Especially Former President and long serving member Niall Hasson.
The Chairmans Address began focusing on football and the excellent year at underage in which our teams won leauge and county titles
Praise wouldnt be good enough for all our Underage Managers and Coaches. The time and effort given often goes unnoticed. He thanked all team Managers,Club Referees and match Volunteers. The Chairman paid tribute to all the Club Sponsors especially JPM Contracts. He thanked the Lotto team,The Ladies Committee and The Camogie Team for their help throughout the year, the Bar Staff and all the people who had orginized fundraiser throughout the year. Our Drama Group’s Production “No Pockets in a Shroud” provided excellent entertainment and proved that Dungiven people can work hard together, for that, Paula Mc Caul, her cast and team deserve tremendous credit. And we look forward to the follow up Play which will take place in Feburary.
The Chairman then invited Club President Aidan Hegarty to take the Chair for Election of Officers. The following Executive Committee was elected to serve the Club for the 2015 Season.

The Chairman again thanked the Membership for their confidence in returning him to the Chair for 2015
In appelling for help in the Club at all levels especially to Players and parents, The Chairman reiterated John F Kennedy’s Famous words to everyone present
“Ask not what your Club can do for you – Ask what you can do for your Club,” It takes a lot of people to run a Club and especially a large Club like St Canice’s and we will welcome everyone to help in any small way you can.
The first Meeting of the 2015 Committee was agreed to be held on Thursday Jamurary 8th 2015
