Derry GAA in association with Ulster Council are going to run a level 1 dual course in June from 23rd to 27th in Owenbeg.
If you would be interested in the course and are seeking employment please contact Ashleen McCaul at ashleen.mccaul.gda.derry@gaa.ie to register
The course will be free of charge but participants must be available 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
Places are limited so please register as soon as possible.
Club Membership
Club membership is now due. If you have a family member playing football or if you would like to become a member or if you haven’t renewed membership is a few seasons, Now you can do so and be part of Your Club.
As the cost of running our club increases every year, You being a member helps greatly with easing the burden and helps to provide Gear and equipment for Our Kids to participate in our games. The Club Is for You and for the future of Our children and Our community. Please Come and be part of it!

Youth Notes
Mixed results for our underage teams this week;
On Tuesday our U14s lost away to Lavey.
Then on Thursday, the U16 A team had an 11 point win at home to Kilrea, 2-21 – 3-7, while the C team lost at home to St Michael’s.
Only one underage match this week, the U14 team are at home to Steelstown on Tuesday, at 7.15pm.

Senior Football
Our Senior Footballs were away to Kilrea on Sunday afternoon and came away with a great win. After a tight first half Kilrea lead at the break 0.07 – 0.05. St Canice’s controlled the game in the second half, with fine displays from Eoghan Quigg and Ryan Mc Elhinney who tormented the Kilrea defence with some great scores. Man of the match Paul Murphy at midfield was back to his best, showing why he was one of the best midfielders in the county. Final score St Canice’s 0.15 – 0.11 Kilrea.
Senior Reserves also defeated Kilrea Reserves 4.09 – 1.09

Important – the wearing of gum-shields is now mandatory for all GAA players – the club will insist that players wear gum-shields during all football training sessions and matches – failure to do so may result in players not being allowed to train/play. Gum shields for U6 & U8 players will be available for purchase before training – the club shop also stocks gum-shields.
