St Canice’s welcomed the 2013 Cork Féile winners, Carrigaline GAA, to Pairc ui Cathain this evening. A good crowd of our young players and parents ensured a warm Derry welcome for the team from the Rebel County who had been travelling since this morning.
After some much-needed tea, scones & buns the players and host families were introduced to each other – hopefully many friendships will be formed between these groups over the coming days.

Féile Officer, Brian Mullan, welcomes Carrigaline Manager, Mick McCarthy, to St Canice’s GAC, Dungiven
The first real test of these new friendships comes tomorrow at 1:30pm when St Canice’s U14A Team line out against Carrigaline on the Main Pitch.
This will be followed by a match between St Canice’s U14B Team and Scotland, our other visiting club, who arrive tomorrow early afternoon. This match throws in at 2:30pm.
We’d encourage as many people as possible to come to the Club and support all the teams over what promises to be an unforgettable weekend for all the young footballers and those visiting our town.
